How the fractional ownership scheme works

Each aircraft is owned by a (Pty) Ltd Company.

For example:

ZS-NPB is owned by the NPB Aircraft Company (Pty) Ltd. Shares are split into 10 equal portions.
A shareholder purchases 10% shares of the company and is issued with a Share Certificate.

AFOS is also a shareholder and manages the aircraft. This guarantees "owner" care. The key to successful group ownership is the agreement and application of the "house rules".

Effective aircraft management requires more time than most people want to spend. Agreements between the shareholders are based on standard company rules. Each aircraft has its own website and bookings are done by each shareholder on the internet using his own user name and password. In this way our partners merely have to go online to book their aircraft whenever they wish to fly.

AFOS takes care of all the administration, banking, maintenance, insurance, hangarage and financial management.

Costs of the aircraft are split into fixed and variable costs

The fixed costs are as follows and are paid by the shareholders on a monthly basis:

• Hangarage (Aircraft are hangered in the AFOS hanger at Rand Airport)
• Management Fee (Managed by AFOS)
• Website Hosting (Internet bookings)
• Landing fees (Rand Airport Only with unlimited landings and approaches. Passenger taxes not included)
• Audit Fees (Annual Company Audit fees)

The flying costs are based on:

• Fuel (Based on Rand Airports Fuel Price)
• Oil
• Provision for Engine & Propeller overhaul
• 100 hour Mandatory Periodic Inspection (MPI)
• Line Maintenance (Other maintenance)

Our management functions include the following:

• Monthly invoicing to shareholders for fixed and variable costs
• Scheduling the aircraft for maintenance
• Paying of accounts
• Cleaning the Aircraft
